Androids and Robots

MOMO

An evolved human (millennium human) in a future more than a thousand years from now, when the boundaries between androids and organic life have vanished. Taking its name from momo, or peach, a symbol of eternal youth, longevity and many descendants, it embodies the free body and spirit released from their limitations. While quietly dancing, it will connect minds with today’s humans.

Functional Features
(1) Equipped with body rotation, vertical, and back-and-forth movement systems to evoke a sense of levitation. This allows dynamic presentation

The base is equipped with rotational movement of up to 90 degrees side to side, a vertical range of 1 meter, and forward-backward motion of 40 cm. By combining these rotational, vertical, and forward-backward motions, MOMO achieves three-dimensional, floating-like motion that creates a dynamic impression for viewers.

(2) Equipped with eyeball cameras in both eyes

Cameras embedded in both eyes allow for natural communication that gives the impression of direct eye contact.

(3) Full-body skin specification

The entire surface is wrapped in a skin-like material. With a soft, skin-like texture, the body conveys the presence of an organic being rather than that of a mechanical object. This blurs the line between human and machine, giving people who encounter MOMO the impression that it is alive.

(4) Androgynous, graceful proportions

The design avoids specific physical attributes, inviting the imagination of each viewer and allowing for a wide range of interpretations.
