[Q&A with Partner Companies #9] What message would you like to communicate to your future 2075 selves?
A large number of companies are taking part in the signature pavilion, Future of Life, each of which endorses the themes of the pavilion and the approaches of Producer ISHIGURO Hiroshi. In this series of articles, we intend to showcase what ideas, visions, and initiatives these companies have come up with in response to the themes of the pavilion and of the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan as a whole.
In this ninth article, the question we posed was: “What message would you like to communicate to your future 2075 selves?”
HASEKO Corporation
Our mission is to create housing and lifestyles for a future society in which, thanks to the latest scientific technologies, humans, robots, and avatars coexist. Previously, we focused on comfort in the home for humans; going forward, however, we will also need to consider comfort for non-humans. Through our sponsorship of this EXPO, we aim to become a corporate group that understands the housing of the future, connecting to the HASEKO of 50 years from now.
KOKUYO Co., Ltd.
How many of our YOKOKU from 50 years ago have been realized? We hope that those of you working at KOKUYO in 2075 will feel proud to be part of the company. The future of our company relies on both individual efforts and collective cooperation. We encourage you to continue respecting one another and embracing KOKUYO’s culture of mutual growth.
Shionogi & Co., Ltd.

At EXPO ’70 in Osaka, a time capsule containing 2,098 items and records was buried, to be opened in 5,000 years’ time. Pharmaceuticals produced by SHIONOGI were among the items placed in the capsule. Already 55 years have passed since then, but those same pharmaceuticals continue to benefit humankind. For the EXPO 2025, we have imagined products that might be used in 50 years’ time. It is our greatest wish that, in 2075, SHIONOGI will continue to be a company that profits humankind, delivering health to people around the world.
Sysmex Corporation
At Sysmex, our mission is “Shaping the Advancement of Healthcare.” In 2075, we hope Sysmex will fully embody this mission, advancing healthcare by applying the knowledge and technologies we have cultivated while embracing the same free-thinking and pioneering spirit that fueled our ideas in this pavilion’s co-creation project.
